What sort of activities can I enjoy at Big Sky Resort during the winter?
From November to April, snow enthusiasts and their families enjoy a variety of Winter activities at Big Sky Mountain Resort in Montana, including downhill and nordic skiing, boarding, and much more.
Downhill Skiing
Downhill skiers enjoy 85 miles of runs across Big Sky Resort including the single, longest run of six miles. There are plenty of lifts (including a 15-passenger tram and three high speed quad lifts) able to transport up to 25,000 people an hour to trails accommodating beginner through expert athletes.
Snowboarding
Shredders rip it up on Big Sky's terrain parks with half-pipes, board jumps, banked turns and kickers. Blasting music, a rope tow, and snowmaking machines add to park amenities.
SnowCat Ride
Join a groomer while they prepare the mountain for another day of skiing.
Snowshoeing
Guided snowshoeing is offered through Big Sky’s Snow School.
Ziplining
You can even do it in the winter. Fly above the base area and lift lines on a zip line during the winter months.
Base Area Activities
Other base area activities include a bungee trampoline, climbing wall, and high ropes course.
